Raising the Bar is a community initiative to promote and support early childhood educators in their continuous commitment to excellence in early learning and child care programs.The program provides a framework for best practice to guide early learning and child careoperators in delivering high quality services for children and families. In addition to the bestpractice framework, Raising the Bar helps to ensure practices are current and responsive tofamily and community needs by engaging educators in ongoing Reflective Practice,Leadership, and, Continuous Professional Learning.
If it’s 2015 format, Raising the Bar is arranged as a three phase scaffold for programoperators, supervisors and educators:
Engagement with the RTB Community of Practice, Strengthening Capacity, and, Continuous Commitment to Excellence.
By design, RTB’s2015 approaches align with “How Does Learning Happen?” Ontario’s Pedagogy for theEarly Years (Ontario Ministry of Education, 2014) and it’s values.
