Garbage is collected every week.
All waste streams should be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day, but no earlier than 5 p.m. the day before.
1 bag a week. Stick a tag on extra bags.
One (1) untagged bag/container of garbage will be collected per week. Any garbage that exceeds the limit must have a bag tag attached.
Garbage must be placed at the curb:
Non-transparent (opaque) bags will not be collected. Why clear bags?
Each bag/container may container two (2) opaque privacy bags, no larger than 51 x 56 cm (20 x 22 in).
Each bag/container must not exceed 20 kg (44 lbs), 79 x 107 cm (31 x 42 in), and 125 L (33 gal).
DOUBLE UP DAYS
Place up to two (2) untagged bags/containers of garbage out on your collection day during the weeks of:
- Victoria Day
- Labour Day
- New Years Day
Broken glass and other sharp items should be placed in a rigid container (no larger than 0.6m/2ft in any dimension), sealed closed and clearly labelled “Sharp Object”. Please place this container beside or on top of your garbage bag/container.
Fireplace ashes should be left to cool for at least 10 days before placing them at the curb. Contact GFL at 1.888.941.3345 ext. 1 or email@example.com before placing ashes at the curb. Another option is to spread ashes in gardens for fertilizer.

Bag tags are required for any bag/container of garbage that exceeds your weekly garbage limit.
Please attach the tag to the neck of your garbage bag or place the tag on the top of the contents in your container so that it is clearly visible.
