Dufferin County invites community members to celebrate Dufferin’s food and farming culture with a trip to Hereward Farms
Calling all culinary, agricultural and business leaders in Dufferin County, and residents interested in celebrating and learning more about Dufferin’s vibrant food and farming culture! Registration is open for the second stop of the Dufferin County Culinary Collective (DCCC) Field Trip Series, a new, hands-on initiative that will take participants on a journey through Dufferin County’s diverse agricultural landscape.
Join Dufferin County Economic Development and Tourism staff on Wednesday, August 20 from 1:30 to 4 pm at Hereward Farms, a beautiful, family-owned lavender farm in East Garafraxa. This free event will include:
- A guided tour of Hereward Farms
- A roundtable discussion on agri-tourism
- Networking with fellow culinary, agricultural, and business leaders
- Complimentary snacks and refreshments
Attendees must arrive at Hereward Farms by 1:30 pm using their own mode of transportation. Transportation will not be provided.

About the Dufferin County Culinary Collective Field Trip Series
Every other month, the County will visit a different local farm or food production site to explore the stories, challenges, opportunities and innovations behind the region’s thriving culinary and agri-food community.
Together, DCCC Field Trip participants will:
- Discover new farms, practices, and producers
- Connect with industry peers and local growers
- Cultivate knowledge, relationships, and opportunity
- Celebrate Dufferin’s vibrant food and farming culture
