Improving the way we power our vehicles is a big step in tackling climate change!

The Charge Up in Dufferin network is making it easier for you to go electric.

This electric vehicle charging network is made up of 22 Level 2 charging stations and 2 Level 3 fast chargers at various municipal offices, recreation, and cultural centers across Dufferin.

With transportation accounting for 49% of greenhouse gas emissions in Dufferin, the Charge Up network builds confidence that the switch to electric is possible with convenient, affordable, and reliable charging opportunities wherever you are.

The project was supported by Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). ZEVIP aims to address the lack of charging stations in Canada in alignment with the country’s strengthened climate plan, A Healthy Environment and A Healthy Economy, which accelerates zero-emission vehicle adoption as an investment that will deliver economic and environmental benefits for decades to come.

FLO has a desktop map and mobile app to help you locate charging stations, pay for sessions, and consult usage data.

What Local EV Owners Are Saying

"I bought an electric car - a Chevy Volt. It has gas backup, but most of the time I just run on electric. It was a big goal of mine – and I did it!"

"Now the annual road trips are guilt-free. It’s still using energy, but far less, and it’s much better on the wallet in the long run. Plus it’s FUN!"

"If you have two gas cars in your driveway now, your next purchase should be an EV. I haven’t seen a situation yet where one vehicle can’t be an EV".
