Statement from Warden Lisa Post | Dufferin County mourns loss of Provincial Constable Tarun Bali
Today, Dufferin County joins its entire community and people across the province in mourning the loss of Provincial Constable Tarun Bali, who tragically died in the line of duty while serving the people of Ontario.
Constable Tarun Bali was a member of the Ontario Provincial Police assigned to the Dufferin Detachment, with two and a half years of service. At the time of his death, Provincial Constable Bali was on deployment with the James Bay Detachment in northern Ontario.
On behalf of Dufferin County Council and staff and our entire community, we extend our sincerest condolences and thoughts to Constable Bali’s family, friends, loved ones and fellow police community members. We thank Constable Bali for his service to our community and others in Ontario.
In honour of his life and sacrifice, Dufferin County’s flags have been lowered to half-mast. May Constable Bali rest in peace.
