This Earth Day, consider making your home more comfortable and affordable with support from BetterHomes Dufferin. The program offers low-interest loans (up to $40,000) for upgrades like insulation, windows, and heat pumps. Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Day
Need to get rid of old motor oil and paint? Recycle it responsibly by attending a Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste event!
The first event of the year will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 60 Main St. N, Grand Valley from 8 am to 3 pm!
Dufferin County residents can attend any scheduled event throughout the year.

Compost Giveaway Days
Pamper your garden with free nutrient-rich compost! Attend the Compost Giveaway Day on Saturday, April 25 at the Hornings’ Mills Community Hall (14 Mills Street, Melancthon) anytime between 9 am to noon.
Residents are allowed up to one blue box-sized container worth of compost on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please bring your own shovel!

Spring Into Style Clothing Swap and Share
Spring into style this season by attending the Clothing Swap and Share on April 25 and 26 at Grand Valley Public Library.
Bring your unwanted spring and summer clothing/accessories to the event and look for something new to you for free.
Don’t have anything to bring? Stop by anyway! All are welcome.
All clothing must be clean and in good condition.

MoD Studio: Upcycle Your Glassware
Date: Saturday, April 11
Time: 10 to 11am
Price: $15 + HST per person, $5 + HST glassware add-on
Let’s celebrate Earth Month at the Museum of Dufferin by transforming old glassware into something new and beautiful!
In this guided workshop learn how to create paint designs on old glassware to turn something old into something fresh and new! Bring in an old piece of glassware, such as a soap dispenser, wine glass, mirror, vase, or more. MoD staff will provide paint supplies, stencils, and design inspiration.
If you don’t have any glassware to upcycle, add on a thrifted piece to your ticket!
This workshop is designed for adults (ages 16+). All painting supplies will be provided.
Tickets include entry to the Museum.
